2024 Pugh Charity Golf Classic

Dear Family and Friends,

We are excited to be back at Raspberry Falls Golf & Hunt Club in Leesburg, Virginia for the Pugh Family annual golf classic. Raspberry Falls is a picturesque links style Gary Player designed golf course, with a rolling landscape and challenging revetted bunkers, and considered one of the top public golf courses in Virginia.

The net proceeds from the tournament will benefit the Glioblastoma Foundation and the Alzheimer’s Association, The Longest Day. These foundations were selected to honor the memories of the Pugh/Hurd family patriarchs, George Robert (Bob) Pugh who succumbed to Glioblastoma Brain Cancer on February 5, 2022 and Peter Mansfield Hurd, who lost his prolonged battle with Alzheimer’s, on December 16, 2015.

Each and every one of us, knows someone who is currently battling or died from Alzheimer’s or some form of cancer. Please join our cause to raise awareness and raise funding to not only help advance research for cures, but also provide the all important quality care and support patients, families and caregivers desperately need.

To paraphrase legendary Beatles, John Lennon & Sir Paul McCartney, “With a Little Help From My Friends” we can make a tangible difference in peoples’ lives, maybe in your lives. As a result of the immense generosity of so many, whom we cannot thank enough, we raised over $65,000 with our inaugural 2023 tournament. With a little help from our friends, we can do it again.

We are expanding the field of golfers this year from the 100 golfers that participated last year, to the maximum of 144, due to the overwhelming support from those that participated last year, and from many that missed out and want to join the fight. We are expecting the event to sell out fast, so don’t wait, sign up today, and join us for a day full of fun, joy, laughter and love.

Warm Regards,

The Pugh Family
